HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Okay, i'm done hibernating...Happy New Year y'all, I've been really busy doing nothing. Lolz...I miss chatting with y'all, so lets kickstart the new year with some little fun. There's so much gist to catch up on and i can't wait to fill y'all on my new project. A lil advice from me to you; "whatever your hand finds to do, do it well" and make no room for excuses.

It's been an amazing year and it wouldn't have been complete without you all. So, here is a "thank you" from me to you and a season greeting filled with love. One thing my Dad taught me during festive seasons, is to always give, even when you've got little to give...See you all in the new year.

SAD: NELSON MANDELA PASSES ON AT AGE 95

Choi! Papa Afrika don sleep finally...Nelson Mandela, the revered statesman who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead South Africa out of decades of apartheid, has died, South African President Jacob Zuma announced late Thursday. He was 95. The former president battled health issues in recent months, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations. With advancing age and bouts of illness, Mandela retreated to a quiet life at his boyhood home in the nation’s Eastern Cape Province, where he said he was most at peace. Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the nation’s consciousness. In a nation healing from the scars of apartheid, Mandela became a moral compass. His defiance of white minority rule and incarceration for fighting against segregation focused the world’s attention on apartheid, the legalized racial segregation enforced by the South African government until 1994. In his lifetime, he was a man of complexities. He went from a militant freedom fighter, to a prisoner, to a unifying figure, to an elder statesman.

In recent times, you get to hear ladies say "I want a man that would love me more than i love him" but then it poses the question of "What do you measure love with?". None of us are strangers to relationships in which we may have given more than the other person. To ever say that one person should love one more than the other only speaks to a paranoia we have. We have a paranoia of not wanting to experience that hurt again. In that mindset, we formulate defensive schemes like this. Either we think of it ourselves, or our elders lend their two cents on the issue. Regardless of the source, this idea comes from a place where maybe too much thinking is going on. Sometimes it does pay to experience new relationships in the moment. Give new experiences a fair chance. It’s the only way to remain fair to your partner.

For example, if you ask a happily married couple who loved who more, they wouldn’t have an answer. I know what it is to be in love. At no time while being in love did I have a chance to think if I loved my man more than he loved me. It was irrelevant. I simply knew I loved and that I loved as hard as I knew how to. For a woman to say that a man should love her more says to me that she’s pulling back, vice versa.

Welcome to the beautiful month of November...I'm so grateful for the grace to be alive this morning and to witness this new month. Looking back from January, I can say "it can be only God". I'm happy cos this month I get to celebrate two wonderful people in my life. So my word for you today, appreciate those around you everyday, tell them how much they mean to you because you'll never know when they just might depart this earth. WTH: Former Brazilian Footballer "Joao Rodrigo Silva" Killed And Beheaded.

Police in Brazil have launched a manhunt after the severed head of a former professional footballer was left on the doorstep of his home. The horrified wife of Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos, 35, made the gruesome discovery as she left the house in Rio de Janeiro for work early yesterday morning. The player’s eyes and tongue had been cut out and his head placed inside one of his own rucksacks, police said. Mr Santos retired from football two years ago after a successful career playing for several teams in Rio de Janeiro, as well as for clubs in Sweden and Honduras. He had recently set up his own business selling health foods and dietary supplements. Police said today that Mr Santos is believed to have been snatched from outside the shop he had opened in the Realengo district of Rio as he closed up at around 7.45pm on Monday. Witnesses said they saw several men bundling him into his car, a Hyundai i30, and speeding off just before midnight, a spokesman said. He was reported missing by his wife at 9pm on Monday.

Nigeria: Crude Oil Revenue Reduces By N189bn

Revenue accruable to the Federal Government from crude oil exports dipped by N188.5 billion to N457.2 billion in August 2013, compared to N645.7 billion recorded in July. According to data obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, in its Economic Report for August 2013, the amount received by the government from crude oil in August, is the lowest since the beginning of 2013 and the lowest in a one-year period. Specifically, crude oil revenue in January 2013 stood at N591.4 billion, rising to N647.6 billion in February, before dropping to N595.3 billion in March. Thereafter, it was ups and downs, as the figures rose again in April to N613.4 billion; N641 billion in May, dropping again to N559.4 in June, rose again in July to N645.7 billion, before dropping its lowest to N457.2 billion in August. The Delta State Government, yesterday, failed to persuade the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court to grant it ownership of the $15million that was allegedly offered to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in 2007, by convicted former Governor of the state, Chief James Ibori.

In a judgment he delivered yesterday, Justice Gabriel Kolawole, ordered that the money which has been in custody of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, since April 26, 2007, be forfeited to the Federal Government, saying the Delta State Government failed to produce satisfactory evidence establishing that Ibori looted the controversial money from its treasury while in office as Governor between May 1999 to May 2007.
